Daniel Agger

I Love Daniel Agger

BARCA STILL KEEN

Barcelona is considered to be one of the best clubs in the world maybe even the best, but if there is a position that they have always been struggling its without doubt in the defensive area. Puyol is suffering from injuries that have kept him unable to play and even when he is fit to play his age is taking a toll on him as he is not the same player he used to be some years ago.
Pique is an unmovable player for Tata Martino but the rest of the defensive positions of the squad are being filled by the youngsters Montoya and Bartra.  The defensive duo have been making consistent performances for Barcelona in La Liga but there is doubt that they can hold their own when the bigger and tougher matches arrive.
This is why the Catalan club has been in search of a defender that can solve some of their problems and Daniel Agger was one of their targets as the Danish defender said that he was tempted to make a move but ultimately rejected the offer.
“I think you are always tempted when stuff like that happens. You would not be human not to be but I keep to my principles’’.

“If I have a contract here for two or three years and the club want me to stay, then I stay with them because, when I signed that deal, that’s what I told them – that I’d be here for four years. I can’t just turn around and say I don’t want to be here anymore. Agger told The Times.
Agger is not a regular player for Brendan Rodgers as he has tough competition of players such as: Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure all being switched out and rotate on a number of matches.
