Danish international and Liverpool defender Daniel Agger believes that the club must buck up after the shock 1-0 loss to Fulham away that left further adrift of the two leading Manchester sides at the top of the English Premier League table when they meet Queens Park Rangers at home.
The rock of the Liverpool defense believes that home form is the key in a marathon league like the English Premier League and the prime example of it was Manchester United when they won 18 of their 19 home matches last season and in spite of managing only a handful of away victories, it was their phenomenal form at Old Trafford that won them their 19th English League title. He wants Liverpool to do the same at Anfield if they want to have any chance of winning the Premier League title in the near future.
However, Daniel Agger doesn’t think that Queens Park Rangers will be mere pushovers and said that the newly promoted team has already done quite well and feels that they will not be going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
Liverpool lost to Fulham on Monday night after one of their former targets Clint Dempsey turned up with the winner in the 85th minute of the game, in spite of The Reds being the dominant side all through the match. Agger feels that Liverpool had plenty of chances of winning the match but their failure to take their chances cost them dear and is of the opinion that in away matches, one must take chances if they want to compete at the top of the League with the best sides. Daniel Agger is desperate for the team to get back to winning ways and his priorities are getting into 4th place and at least qualify for the Champions League before they fight for the title.
